Fun Times

GRAND CANYON

For Spring Break we decided it was high time to get Paula and Dan and the boys for that matter to the Grand Canyon to experience the majestic beauty of nature.  This was my first visit to the South Rim and it didn't disappoint.  We loaded up at 6am and hit the road for the 4 1/2 hr drive.  We parked the car about 11am, grabbed our jackets and went in search of an adventure.  Because we had the boys we stuck to the little trails and look out points.  Paula really wanted a picture sitting on the edge, and she about gave an older lady a heart attack when she went and sat on the wall with her legs dangling off the edge for a picture.  We had so much fun hiking and riding the shuttle that the boys crashed on our shuttle ride back to the car.  After a GREAT day we loaded back up and headed home.

 EASTER

We had a great Easter!  Angie's girls were with us for a night because Austin was playing in a baseball tourney here in town so they got to color eggs with us.

DRAKE IS 5

I can't believe it has been 5 years already!  Drake is a wonderful big brother!  He is really good with Hank.  His favorite thing is to make Hank laugh.  The other day I was trying to get dinner ready and Hank was hungry so Drake was nice enough to offer to feed Hank for me.  It was so fun watching him make Hank laugh while simultaneously trying to get the spoon in his mouth.  Drake has been able to attend a preschool 2 days a week and joy school with some other kids his age from the ward 1 day a week.  He has definitely benefited from this.  He is really starting to recognize his numbers he knows how his letters sounds and will be reading in no time.  Every day he comes up with a new way for explaining things to make sure it goes in his favor.  He loves to have Dan read him stories and he enjoys making up a story to go with the pictures in his books. He wants to know all about the world around him and wants to know how and why every thing does what it does.  One of his favorite things to do is play RISK on the ipad with Dan and Logan.  I play occasionally but he beats me just about every time.  When I'm putting him to bed at night I can't leave the room unless he has given me a hug and a kiss.  Everyday I thank my Heavenly Father that I have been blessed to have this precious soul in my life forever.  Love you Drakers!
